A Nemesis

Over the years I have had the pleasure of working in many large cities around the country. These days however, they are a bit daunting for this aging cowboy. Since the millennium, when I began this work full time, these cities have all grown substantially.

Today I’m going to Charlotte. The last time I was there, I told myself I was NOT going back. I am not the guy I use to be, not as quick reacting to situations and can get a bit anxious in tight heavy traffic. Many larger cities I had sworn off of like Atlanta, Washington, Houston, Los Angelos, and Miami but, I’m going to give Charlotte a pass this time because last time the weather was really bad.

So thankful to be driving a car with current safety features like blind spot, radar cruse, pre collision braking and GPS. I hope these things will help keep me safe but, it’s Labor Day weekend! I must be crazy!  Still, in my old age, I push the envelope with my version of twenty twenty-four adventure. Willing to go to any length? Please pray I make its back in one piece without a heart attack or new infection! Lord be with me.
