Authority: The legitimate power of a group to direct or control others.

I can tell you this, alcoholics don’t like authority!After all. how long did it take you to come in. Yes, but when it comes to jails, institutions, the four horsemen, incomprehensible demoralization and death if we are to survive, we must change. 

I know it sounds crazy that we would let a bunch of addicts and alcoholics control our lives but, for us it seems to work out pretty well. Think about this. Who would have better advice than those with the same dis-ease that have who have worked through the steps to survived and thrive. Plus, it’s not like your taking guidance from just one person. We have millions in our worldwide group conscience. As a whole society, we act as a channel for the legitimate powerful voice and direction of a loving God. While there is no doubt the steps are the program of recovery, the only way to hear from God through the group conscience, is by attending meetings.

Just go into the rooms and see for yourself. After you come to, you can see the joy in others who have done the work. I saw one yesterday at the gym. I watched her come in about a year ago so depressed, sad and dejected. Yesterday she gave me the brightest smile with eyes alive with the Love of the God. It will work for you too, if you let it
